Young creatives who join the “Wish Train” (“Voz želja”) – a contest whose goal is to strengthen good relations between Russia and Serbia, can win valuable prizes. For the fifth year in a row, the creative contest is organized by RZD International, the Svetosavsko zvonce magazine and the Serbian department of the International Foundation for the Unity of Orthodox Christian Nations (IFUOCN).
This year, the contest is called “The way of the imagination” (“Putem mašte”), and participants are invited to express their vision of friendly relations between the two countries in the form of emblems and slogans. The contest has two nominations and is divided by age, so that age groups from 8 to 12, from 13 to 15, as well as from 16 to 19 can participate.
“In each group, three works will be awarded, which will be evaluated by a jury composed of representatives of the organizers of the contest, the Russian Consulate in Belgrade, Serbian Railways and selected professors of the Faculty of Fine Arts. Free form of expression and use of all materials and technologies is allowed. The awarded works will be published in a catalogue. Practical application is not planned for now, but there is always a possibility. Valuable gifts await the creators: tablets, laptops, cameras, mobile phones, books,” said Natalija Kocev, director of the Serbian department of the International Foundation for the Unity of Orthodox Christian Nations.
Participants should send their works by November 30 to the website of Svetosavsko zvonce magazine – www.zvonce.spc.rs – or to the address of the Serbian Department of the Foundation for the Unity of Orthodox Christian Nations: 27. marta Street, 50, Belgrade.
This creative task activates the imagination and encourages young people to explore and learn as much as possible about Russia and Serbia. Every year, more and more works arrive. In 2017, there were more than 1,000 of them, although the task was perhaps the most demanding until then – making a crossword puzzle. The tasks are different every year, so, from 2014 until now, the participants in the contest have written literary works, made photographs, drawings…
This year, the “Wish Train,” riding “The way of the imagination,” can hardly wait to host its new “passengers” – young creative workers and their emblems and slogans!
